Travelling Chautaris

Our Polycotton KA46 coated fabric has been selected for the remarkable Travelling Chautaris project, developed by T.NUA Collective in collaboration with the Siddhartha Arts Foundation, ABARI (Adobe and Bamboo Research Institute), and artist Sneha Shrestha.

Inspired by the traditional Nepalese chautari – communal gathering and resting places with a history spanning more than 900 years – these two mobile architectural sculptures are designed to travel between different locations across Nepal and beyond. Their purpose is to bring people together, fostering dialogue, cultural exchange, and social connection.

For this unique project, our Polycotton KA46 coated fabric was chosen as a durable and weather-resistant canvas solution integrated into the structures. The combination of performance, aesthetics, and reliability made the material particularly well-suited for this innovative architectural application.
